Green River WDFW Neely Mansion historic site

Green River Coalition Board, Green River College Natural Resources Interns and contractors discussing logistics to a four (4) year invasive plant suppression process using 8mil geotextile, and arbor chips.  This cold wet Feburary day we’re removing the geotextile and setting live willow stakes above the high water mark and preping for future conifers.

Contractor: Jason is certified in working at wetland sites – he’s working with an 11,000 lb excavator

This 2 acre site is heavily used as boat launch and riverside fishing locale.  We have suppressed Reed Canary Grass effectively with geotextile without the use of herbicides.  We are now beginning to apply a restoration grass seed mix.
