Post Falls, Idaho requested the services of Nicoterra Trails in January to identify feasible new trails and improvements to a network of existing trails in Black Bay Park – a 60 acre natural area with multiple-use qualities.
What prompted this request?
- new public parcels, negotiated to expand Black Bay Park from 45 acres to 60 acres
- growth forecasts for Post Falls, including proposed multi-family housing developments nearby and increasing recreational use of the Park
- a Park Board contract with Civitas to provide a concept recreation plan for additional resources at the Park
- Nicoterra Trails familiarity with the landscape of the Park, having proposed upon request: riparian ecological restoration among several sites along the Spokane River in 2016
