Nicoterra Trails, DIRT Corps, Green River Coalition, Mid-Sound Fisheries are collaborating on creating more quality salmon habitat on a/the only river in Seattle. The financial and policy support comes from the King County Flood Control District and WRIA 9 through the Regreen the Green network.
We are working to develop new learning opportunities for youth, and training opportunities for diverse groups such as the Duwammish Valley Youth Conservation Corps, and the Green River College. We planted 15,000 sqft of riparian landscape in February with the Forterra group and the Seattle Sounders professional soccer program in a broad-based community stewardship day.
NICOTERRA
